Zest4lifeUK is Leicestershire's longest established service offering bespoke exercise for mums-to-be, mother-and-baby fitness classes and exercise for busy mums with older children. As a mother of three boys, I truly understand the pressures of fitting exercise round a full life, and the huge value of connecting likeminded women so that you have a strong support network through pregnancy and into motherhood. With 12 years experience in this field, my passion is looking after you as an individual, whether it be helping with lower backache, wrist pain or pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy, or abdominal separation (diastasis recti), back pain or pelvic floor weakness postnatally. My approach is all about the individual but in a fun, friendly group format.
A very warm welcome to Zest4lifeUK, home of my Leicestershire pregnancy and postnatal fitness classes. I set up Zest4lifeUK in January 2009 with just one postnatal class running per week – BuggyBabies – my outdoor buggy fitness class which takes place in one of Leicestershire’s most beautiful country parks: Beacon Hill. You’ll be please to know (or perhaps not!) that this is the highest point in the county and that – yes, you guessed it – I frequently get all the lovely mums who do my classes, to charge up the hill to the very top! But don’t complain – it’s a fantastic class to help lose the baby weight.
Since then, I have created a lovely antenatal class called Fit4Birth (yep, that’s another one of my funny names!) a mixture of pregnancy Pilates, postural resistance work to help with pregnancy back pain, and tension relieving exercises. Follow-on postnatal exercise classes have inevitably sprung up too so that I can take your fitness levels to new heights, as has an evening Pilates class for working mums, designed to keep your fitness on track once your maternity leave is over.
